About BAS

The Bulgarian-Austrian Seminar (BAS) was established in 2003 to provide a forum for scholars, researchers, engineers from practice, state institutions and private sector to present, discuss, and critique their investigations into hydraulic engineering and water resources.

The synergy of basic science and practical investigation has been a major contributor to the success of the meeting.

The goals of the seminar are to provide an opportunity for researchers to translate their findings into practice, share ideas and collaborate, thereby accelerating progress.

The Department of Hydraulic, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering at UACEG serves as the Seminar Organizer in partnership with the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management at the TU Vienna.
